They say that a stranger...

... is just somebody who you haven't yet met.  And this saying really rings true for me when I think about my friend Georgina. 

I met Georgina when my daughter was about 3 months old.  I was starting to feel a bit isolated.  All of my friends were at work and I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do with myself.   So when we were both waiting at the pharmacy one day for our babies to have their standard checks I plucked up all my courage and started chatting with her.  Then I plucked up some SUPER courage and asked if she might like to meet up for coffee one day.  But as mad as it seemed at the time, I am so very glad that I did.   The friendship that we developed over the following years has been truly invaluable to me.   So the opportunity to take these photographs for her was very special indeed.
