Happiness is...

I had the best afternoon with this family!   Relaxed, carefree and happy. The children had a fantastic time playing in the tree and jumping off the big rock... just like children do!  And then baby S decided that he wanted to climb the stairs.  All of these moments made for some great fun and memorable photos and that is exactly the reason that I love taking photos of families playing together!

They say that a stranger...

... is just somebody who you haven't yet met.  And this saying really rings true for me when I think about my friend Georgina. 

I met Georgina when my daughter was about 3 months old.  I was starting to feel a bit isolated.  All of my friends were at work and I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do with myself.   So when we were both waiting at the pharmacy one day for our babies to have their standard checks I plucked up all my courage and started chatting with her.  Then I plucked up some SUPER courage and asked if she might like to meet up for coffee one day.  But as mad as it seemed at the time, I am so very glad that I did.   The friendship that we developed over the following years has been truly invaluable to me.   So the opportunity to take these photographs for her was very special indeed.

Little Sisters

They really do not get much cuter than these two little girls!  They were just make your heart melt gorgeous.  Their mum said to me today that sometimes her and her husband just can't get over the fact that they MADE these divine little people ...  how can you ever really top that?  I totally and 100% agree!
